Dr. Cheng-huai Ruan is a native Houstonian trained in Internal Medicine.

He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of chronic illnesses to emergent medical care of adults and adolescents.

Dr. Ruan was awarded the Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He earned his Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine where he spent his first year in Dominica, West Indies and the remainder of his clinical training years in New York, Florida, and Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine residency in New York City at New York Hospital Queens: Weill-Cornell Medical College Program where he was awarded Teacher of the Year by his peers. He was subsequently elected Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and Academic Teaching Hospitalist Attending at New York Hospital Queens.

Dr. Ruan has cheerfully returned to Texas where he enjoys spending his free time practicing photography, motivational speaking, providing health and wellness coaching, remaining active on the Tompkins Falcon’s football sidelines, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
