Human growth hormone (HGH)

Growth hormone fuels childhood growth and helps maintain tissues and organs throughout life. It's produced by the pea-sized pituitary gland — located at the base of the brain. Beginning in middle age, however, the pituitary gland slowly reduces the amount of growth hormone it produces.

This natural slowdown has triggered an interest in using Bio-Identical Hormone Producing Hormones to raise your body’s production of human growth hormone (HGH) as a way to stave off some of the changes linked to aging, such as decreased muscle and bone mass.

What is human growth hormone?

Growth hormone (GH) is a small protein that is made by the pituitary gland and secreted into the bloodstream. GH production is controlled by a complex set of hormones produced in the hypothalamus of the brain and in the intestinal tract and pancreas.

The pituitary puts out GH in bursts; levels rise following exercise, trauma, and sleep. Under normal conditions, more GH is produced at night than during the day. This physiology is complex, but at a minimum, it tells us that sporadic blood tests to measure GH levels are meaningless since high and low levels alternate throughout the day. But scientists who carefully measure overall GH production report that it rises during childhood, peaks during puberty, and declines from middle age onward.

GH acts on many tissues throughout the body. In children and adolescents, it stimulates the growth of bone and cartilage. In people of all ages, GH boosts protein production, promotes the utilization of fat, interferes with the action of insulin, and raises blood sugar levels. GH also raises levels of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1).

Human growth hormone benefits

Adults with bona fide GH deficiencies benefit from increased GH production. Blueprint Health Providers have a number of available options to address these deficiencies. Adults with increased GH often enjoy protection from fractures, increased muscle mass, improved exercise capacity and energy, and a reduced risk of future heart disease.

Adults who are GH deficient get larger muscles, more energy, and improved exercise capacity from replacement therapy. Athletes work hard to build their muscles and enhance performance. Some also turn to GH.

SERMORELIN/IPAMORELIN THERAPY

Sermorelin/Ipamorelin is an effective and safe treatment for adult growth hormone deficiency. As we age, we experience a decrease in Growth Hormone (GH) being released by the pituitary gland. Sermorelin/Ipamorelin stimulates the pituitary gland to naturally produce and release the body’s own growth hormone.

Age-related deficits in GH have repetitively been shown to be associated with decreased longevity, increased frailty, decreased cognitive function, and decreased sense of wellness. Sermorelin/Ipamorelin therapy is an anti-aging treatment that provides many restorative, preventative, and repair functions throughout the body.

Sermorelin/Ipamorelin consists of the first 29 amino acids of actual growth hormone-releasing hormone and has clinical advantages over actual GH replacement therapy by triggering the natural production of Growth Hormone. This allows the body to self-regulate and prevents sudden drops in hormone levels.

Sermorelin/Ipamorelin Therapy Benefits:

  • Promotes weight loss

  • Increases fat reduction

  • Increases energy & mood

  • Boosts endurance

  • Improves skin & nail health

  • Improved cardiovascular health

  • Improves bone health

  • Reduces inflammation

  • Accelerates wound healing

  • Improves sleep quality

  • Improves insulin sensitivity

  • Increases immune system function

WHAT IS IPAMORELIN?

Ipamorelin is one of the latest and greatest peptides in the growth factor family. Deemed one of the safest GHRP's, Ipamorelin is a selective growth hormone (GH) Secretagogue and Ghrelin receptor agonist. This peptide generates similar increases in growth hormone secretion, but without the appetite stimulation and increase in cortisol, acetylcholine, prolactin, and aldosterone seen with other peptides in its class.

Ipamorelin has been shown to be highly potent and has also demonstrated good safety and tolerability in human clinical studies.

Research has shown that Ipamorelin is growth hormone specific, which means that the pituitary hormones (such as cortisol are unaffected).

As an added perk, it does not promote increased production of the enzyme ghrelin, which stimulates hunger. This means that it will not make you hungry, due to Ipamorelin's ability to control points of gastric, appetite, and growth motility.

Another very significant positive difference is that Ipamorelin does not display a capacity to significantly boost levels of cortisol, which can affect the body in unwanted ways. Patients on other types of secretagogue therapies have reported jitters, cold sweats or nervousness because therapy’s overall impact on cortisol levels.

BENEFITS OF IPAMORELIN:

  • Decreased body fat

  • Increased collagen production

  • Increased lean muscle mass

  • Improved sleep

  • Increased cellular repair and & Regeneration

  • Increased IGF-1

  • Increases bone mineral content

  • Counteracts glucocorticoid catabolic effects

  • Less appetite stimulation than GHRP-6

  • Less release of cortisol, prolactin, and aldosterone
